What we do
At ‘Home of Gardens’ we pride ourselves on being able to offer a full range of services, from complete garden design and build services, where we survey, design and build your garden. Or for those of you who wish to take a more hands on approach to your garden, we offer a border design and planting plan option, where we survey a part of the garden and design a planting plan for that area that you then implement and work on at your leisure. So whatever your garden design needs, here at ‘Home of Gardens’ we can provide for all eventualities.
Cheryl Stretton
My love of gardening started at a very young age; in fact, I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t involved in gardening with my family. Having spent my life helping family and friends design their gardens, and attending lots of gardening shows, it was a natural progression for my career to turn to this after years as a Project Manager in the ‘corporate world’. I used to wish I was outdoors all the time. Our projects vary hugely, from small planting plans to an entirely designed and landscaped outdoor space. So whether you are looking for regular maintenance, a one-off tidy up, or an altogether new bespoke look, we would love to help you achieve the garden of your dreams!
Emma Sutcliffe
From an early age, I had a love of wild and natural places and spent much of my teens and early twenties mountaineering. This travelling gave me the opportunity to study the broader landscape and plants growing in the wild. My passion for plants, gardening and garden design on a domestic scale began when I moved to a property with a large garden set in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. From the moment I started gardening here, I knew where my future lay. I studied Garden Design with The English Gardening School; honing my horticulture, plant knowledge, drawing and garden design skills.
